UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2025, Apply Now for 357 Vacancies – Eligibility, Syllabus & Exam Details

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Recruitment 2025, inviting applications for 357 Assistant Commandant positions across various forces. Candidates can apply online through the official UPSC website (upsc.gov.in) by following these steps:

  1. Registration: Visit the UPSC website and complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process.
  2. Application Form: Fill out the CAPF application form with personal, educational, and other required details.
  3. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and any other necessary documents.
  4. Fee Payment: Pay the application fee through online or offline modes as specified.

The selection process comprises:

  1. Written Examination: Scheduled for August 3, 2025, it includes two papers:
    • Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence (Objective Type)
      • Duration: 2 hours
      • Marks: 250
    • Paper II: General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension (Descriptive Type)
      • Duration: 3 hours
      • Marks: 200
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who qualify in the written exam will undergo physical tests, including running, long jump, and shot put.
  3. Interview/Personality Test: Candidates clearing the PET will be interviewed, carrying 150 marks.
  • Paper I: Covers General Mental Ability, General Science, Current Events, Indian Polity and Economy, History of India, and Indian and World Geography.
  • Paper II: Includes essay writing on topics like polity, economy, security, human rights, and analytical questions to assess comprehension and communication skills.
