Educational Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution
• For diploma holders, some posts may require 2 years’ professional experience

Age Limit

• Generally 18–30 years, with upper limit 32 years for certain departments (e.g., CPWD, CWC)
• Age relaxations apply as per government norms:
  • SC/ST: +5 years
  • OBC: +3 years
  • PwD/ESM: Additional relaxation

Pay Scale & Benefits

• Pay Level‑6: ₹35,400–₹1,12,400 per month under the 7th CPC
• Additional allowances: DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, Medical, PF, NPS pension, etc.

Selection Process

1. Paper I (CBT) – Objective type:
   • General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 Qs)
   • General Awareness (50 Qs)
   • Engineering subject (100 Qs for relevant branch)
   • Duration: 2 hours; negative marking: –0.25 mark
2. Paper II (CBT) – Objective type:
   • In-depth technical questions (200–300 marks)
   • Duration: 2 hours; negative marking: –1 mark
3. Document Verification & Medical Examination follow for shortlisted candidates. Final selection based on cumulative marks.
