Educational Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution
- For diploma holders, some posts may require 2 years’ professional experience
Age Limit
- Generally 18–30 years, with upper limit 32 years for certain departments (e.g., CPWD, CWC)
- Age relaxations apply as per government norms:
- SC/ST: +5 years
- OBC: +3 years
- PwD/ESM: Additional relaxation
Pay Scale & Benefits
- Pay Level‑6: ₹35,400–₹1,12,400 per month under the 7th CPC
- Additional allowances: DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, Medical, PF, NPS pension, etc.
Selection Process
- Paper I (CBT) – Objective type:
- General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 Qs)
- General Awareness (50 Qs)
- Engineering subject (100 Qs for relevant branch)
- Duration: 2 hours; negative marking: –0.25 mark
- Paper II (CBT) – Objective type:
- In-depth technical questions (200–300 marks)
- Duration: 2 hours; negative marking: –1 mark
- Document Verification & Medical Examination follow for shortlisted candidates. Final selection based on cumulative marks.
