  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Experience: Two years of experience in handling criminal cases, intelligence work, operations, or counter-terrorism.
  • Age Limit: Not exceeding 56 years as of the last date of receiving applications.
  • Deputation Requirement: Officers holding an analogous post on a regular basis or with five years’ service in the Level-6 pay matrix.

2. Sub-Inspector

  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
  • Experience: Two years of experience in criminal investigations, intelligence, operations, or counter-terrorism training.
  • Age Limit: Not exceeding 56 years.
  • Deputation Requirement: Officers holding an analogous post or with six years of service in the Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200) with Grade Pay of Rs. 2800.
  • Educational Qualification: Graduation from a recognized university.
  • Experience: At least two years in handling criminal investigations, intelligence work, or information technology management.
  • Age Limit: Not exceeding 56 years.
  • Deputation Requirement: Officers in the feeder category, such as Head Constables, with five years’ service in Level-4 (Rs. 25,500 – 81,700).

4. Head Constable

  1. Download the Application Form: Visit the official NIA website and download the application form (Annexure-II) for the relevant post.
  2. Prepare Your Documents: Along with the filled application form, you need to submit:
    1. Bio-data (in the prescribed format).
    1. APAR Dossier (Annual Performance Appraisal Reports) for the last five years.
    1. Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
    1. Integrity Certificate.
    1. Details of Penalties (if any).
    1. Photocopies of Education Certificates.
