The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai is inviting online applications for apprenticeships under the Apprentices Act, 1961, starting from May 22, 2024, to June 21, 2024. The program offers training in trades such as Carpenter, Electrician, Fitter, Machinist, Painter, Welder, and Medical Lab Technician (Radiology and Pathology) for both freshers and ITI holders. Applicants must be aged 15-22 years (non-ITI) or 15-24 years (ITI) with relevant educational qualifications, and there are age relaxations for SC/ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates. The stipend ranges from ₹6000 to ₹7000 per month. Selection is based on Std X marks, and no employment is guaranteed post-training. Applications are to be submitted online through the ICF website, with a ₹100 application fee for general candidates, while SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates are exempt.

Educational Qualification:-
Carpenter (Freshers): Passed Std X with minimum 50% marks under 10+2 system or its equivalent.
Electrician (Freshers): Passed Std X with minimum 50% marks with Science & Maths under 10+2 system or equivalent.
Fitter (Freshers): Passed Std X with minimum 50% marks with Science & Maths under 10+2 system or equivalent
Machinist (Freshers): Passed Std X with minimum 50% marks with Science & Maths under 10+2 system or equivalent
Painter (Freshers): Passed Std X with minimum 50% marks under 10+2 system or its equivalent
Welder (Freshers): Passed Std X with minimum 50% marks under 10+2 system or its equivalent
MLT-Radiology (Freshers): Passed Std XII examination under 10+2 system with Physics, Chemistry & Biology
MLT-Pathology (Freshers):Passed Std XII examination under 10+2 system with Physics, Chemistry & Biology

Selection Process
The selection process for apprentices at ICF Chennai is based on marks obtained in Std X. In the case of a tie, older candidates will be given preference. Candidates will be allotted trades based on their merit and the availability of slots in each trade.
