Eligibility Criteria
Project Associate-I:
- M.Sc. in Physics/Space Physics/Geophysics or B.E./B.Tech. in EEE/ECE/Electronics.
- Desirable: Programming skills (Python, C/C++), experience in PCB design, soldering, and handling lab instruments.
JRF:
- First-class Master’s in Geology/Geophysics/Marine Geology.
- Graduation must include Physics or Math as a subject.
Research Associate-I:
- PhD (submitted or awarded) in Atmospheric Physics or Geophysics.
- Desirable: Experience with data modeling, seismic research, programming (Python, C++, FORTRAN).
Age Limit:
- Project Associate-I and Research Associate-I: 35 years (relaxable as per govt. norms)
- JRF: 28 years (relaxable for reserved categories)
IIG 2025 Salary/Stipend Structure

Selection Process for IIG Recruitment 2025
The selection will be based entirely on a walk-in interview. Candidates must carry:
- Duly filled application form
- Original documents and one set of self-attested copies
- Valid Photo ID
No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
General Guidelines
- All posts are purely temporary and project-based.
- The number of vacancies may vary as per project needs.
- Candidates currently employed must bring a valid service certificate.
- Final semester/year students are not eligible.
- Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India.
