Indian Bank Recruitment 2025 for 1,500 Apprentice Vacancies Check Qualification, How to Apply

Indian Bank, a prominent Public Sector Bank headquartered in Chennai, has announced the engagement of 1,500 apprentices for the Financial Year 2025-26 under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Eligible candidates are invited to apply online, with the registration window open from July 18, 2025, to August 7, 2025.Total Vacancies : A total of 1,500 apprenticeship positions are available across various states and Union Territories. Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh have the highest number of vacancies, each with 277 positions, followed by West Bengal with 152. The distribution of vacancies also includes specific reservations for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Unreserved (UR), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD).

Eligibility Criteria

Education

• Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university

• Must have passed on or after April 1, 2021

Age Requirements (as on July 1, 2025)

• General: 20–28 years

• SC/ST: +5 years (max 33)

• OBC: +3 years (max 31)

• PwBD: +10 years (max 38)

• Additional relaxations apply (e.g., widows, 1984 riot-affected, etc.)

Stipend & Application Fee

• Stipend: ₹15,000/month (metro/urban) or ₹12,000/month (semi-urban/rural)

• Application Fee:

• General/OBC/EWS: ₹800 + GST
• SC/ST/PwBD: ₹175 + GST

Selection Process

1. Online Objective Test — 100 questions (1 mark each), 60 minutes

• Sections: Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness (Banking focus)
• Negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer

1. Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) — mandatory, except exempt for earlier studied candidates

1. Register on NATS 2.0 portal (nats.education.gov.in) and complete your profile.

2. Visit the Indian Bank Careers page → “Engagement of Apprentices – 2025” and click “New Registration

3. Fill personal/educational details, upload photo, signature, thumb impression, and handwritten declaration.

4. Pay fee online and submit the application.

5. Download and keep a printout for future reference.
