The Office of the District & Sessions Judge, Sangrur is recruiting for 23 posts of Clerk on an ad-hoc basis for a period of six months or until regular appointments are made. Candidates must possess B.A./ B.Sc degree. OR equivalent qualification from a recognized university, pass in Punjabi as a subject at matriculation and proficient in computer operation. Educational Qualification:
(i) Must hold a degree in B.A./B.Sc. or equivalent from a recognized university.
(ii) Must have passed Punjabi as a subject in Matriculation.
(iii) Should have proficiency in computer operation.
Age Limit:
Minimum age: 18 years
Maximum age: 37 years (as of 01.01.2024).
Age relaxation applies for reserved categories as per Punjab Government rules.
Pay Scale: Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly salary based on the minimum wage rates fixed by the Deputy Commissioner, Sangrur, with applicable revisions.
The selection process includes:
Written Test
(i) General Knowledge: 20 marks
(ii) English Composition: 30 marks
(iii) Candidates must score 33% in each subject and a minimum of 40% overall to qualify.
(iv) Negative marking: 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
(i) Spreadsheet Test: 10 minutes (Minimum 40% marks required).
(ii) Typing Test: English typing at 30 words per minute.
Document Verification/Interaction: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents and an interaction session.
