APPSC FBO Recruitment 2025 for 691 Forest Beat Officer and Assistant Beat Officer Posts Apply Now

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has issued Notification No. 06/2025, dated July 14, 2025, inviting online applications for 691 direct Recruitment vacancies for the posts of Forest Beat Officer (FBO) and Assistant Beat Officer (ABO) in the A.P. Forest Subordinate Service. These vacancies include those reserved for Meritorious Sportspersons (MSP). The online application submission window will be open from July 16, 2025, to August 5, 2025, until 11:59 PM (midnight)

  • Forest Beat Officer (FBO): 256 posts

  • Assistant Beat Officer (ABO): 435 posts

Important Dates

• Notification released: 14 July 2025

• Application period: 16 July – 5 August 2025 (11:59 PM)

• Screening (Preliminary) Test: scheduled after 15 July 2025, exact date pending

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational: Must have passed Intermediate (Class 12th) or equivalent

• Age Limit: 18–30 years as of 1 July 2025 (category-based relaxations apply)

 Application Fees

• Unreserved/Others: ₹250 (application) + ₹80 (exam) = ₹330 total

• SC/ST/BC/PH & certain categories: ₹80 only

Selection Process

1. Screening Test (Prelims)

   Offline OMR; 150 questions, 150 marks, 150 minutes, negative marking (–⅓)

   Sections: Part A – General Studies & Mental Ability; Part B – General Science & Mathematics 

2. Main Written Exam

   • Paper-I: Essay (English/Telugu/Urdu) – 50 marks, 30 min

   • Paper-II: General Studies & Mental Ability – 100 marks, 100 min

   • Paper-III: General Science & Maths – 100 marks, 100 min

   • Negative marking applies

3. Physical Standards & Efficiency Test

   • Height & chest: Men – 163 cm/84 cm (expansion +5 cm); Women – 150 cm/79 cm (+5 cm)

   • Walking (PET): Men – 25 km in 4 h; Women – 16 km in 4 h

4. Certificate Verification & Medical Examination

Pay Scale

• Forest Beat Officer: ₹16,400 – ₹49,870 per month

• Assistant Beat Officer: ₹15,030 – ₹46,060 per month
