Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board. Additionally, they should possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the designated trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).
- Age Limit: Applicants should be between 15 to 24 years of age as of the closing date of application. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
Application Process
The application process is conducted offline. Interested candidates must follow these steps:
- Obtain the Application Form: Download the prescribed application form from the official RWF website or obtain it from the RWF administrative office.
- Fill in the Details: Complete the application form with accurate personal, educational, and trade-related information.
- Attach Documents: Enclose self-attested copies of the following documents:
- 10th class mark sheet or equivalent
- National Trade Certificate (NTC)
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Recent passport-sized photographs
- Application Fee: Include a processing fee of ₹100, payable through a Demand Draft or Indian Postal Order drawn in favor of ‘Principal Financial Adviser, Rail Wheel Factory’. SC/ST/PwD/Women candidates are exempted from this fee.

Selection Process
The selection of apprentices will be based on a merit list prepared from the marks obtained in the 10th class examination. In case of a tie, candidates with earlier dates of birth will be given preference.
Training and Stipend
Selected candidates will undergo apprenticeship training for a period specified for each trade, as per the Apprentices Act. During the training, apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per the norms set by the Government of India.
